got old skis?
Do you have old skis cluttering up the garage, basement, attic, or storage unit? Straight skis no longer able to sell at a swap?
Cracked, delaminating, old, outdated, or unusable equipment?
Put them to good use...Recycle Them!
We're happy
to recycle your old skis, ski poles, or snowboards in any condition or style. We try and rescue as much old gear
from the fate of the landfill as we can, and will give them a new life by repurposing them into functional and unique art while
preserving those ski memories.
Can I have My Old Skis or Boards turned into Ski Furniture?
Yes, we'll be happy to
work with you to have your own gear converted into a custom chair, bench, table, rack, or other custom piece and preserve
those ski memories. You can send them to Green Mt. Ski Furniture, drop them off at the shop, or contact us
to arrange a local pick-up and save up to 20% off your order! Custom orders are typically complete in 4 to 6 weeks.
Check out the Custom Build page....or contact us today!
How Do I get my Old Gear to GMSF for Recycling?
DROP OFF:
If you're in our local area or passing through, you can drop them off at our woodshop in Waterbury Center any
time. You'll most likely see some skis by our side door on the barn in the Drop Zone, feel free to drop your old skis and poles
for recycling, no boots please. It's a great place to visit any time of year, bring your old skis next time you're up!
Additionally you can bring them to us in Waistfield every Saturday between 9-1pm during the market season (May-Oct)
Pick-Up Collection:
Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer a collection service in our local region. We will consider pick
up for larger lots of skis depending on what you have and where they are, just contact us. For several pair of skis, still in
decent condition, your best option is shipping if you are unable to drop them off.
Shipping: You are always
welcome to mail anything to us and consider it the cost of recycling. Lots of folks are now boxing up their skis and shipping
them out for custom tuning each year. Why not do it one last time and lay them to rest in style? We recommend stripping
the bindings before mailing, as they add considerable weight and bulk. If you don't have a box, that's fine...All you will need
to do is wrap the skis together, and add a protective cap on the tips and tails from some scrap cardboard, and send they out UPS or
FedEx Ground like that. Feel free to contact us and we can send you more information on shipping your skis if you like.
